AlphaSense is the leading platform for market intelligence. It is Google for business—aggregating broker research, public filings (10-Ks), and news to help you understand the market and competitors. Colabra is a workspace for private diligence. We do not look at the outside world; we look inside the target company's confidential data room. AlphaSense helps you build the thesis; Colabra helps you verify the asset.
AlphaSense is designed for "public-side" research. It excels at searching across millions of external documents to find trends, competitor sentiment, and macro data. It is the tool you use to write the Investment Memo before you get the data room.
Colabra is designed for "private-side" execution. We ingest the confidential VDR dump—the 5,000 internal documents that AlphaSense cannot see. We map the corporate structure, verify the IP chain of title, and flag the "poison pills" in the customer contracts.
AlphaSense tells you if the market is attractive (e.g. "Lithium demand is up"). Colabra tells you if the target is legally sound (e.g. "Their mining permits expire next month"). You need AlphaSense to validate the commercial logic and Colabra to validate the legal reality.
AlphaSense is a search engine ("Find me mentions of X"). Colabra is a reconciliation engine ("Show me what is missing"). In a private deal, the risk is often what the seller hasn't told you. AlphaSense cannot find a missing document; Colabra's Gap Analysis can.
