When to use Box

Use Box when the diligence room or corporate file exchange already lives in Box and the team wants the existing folder structure to feed straight into the project evidence set.

The existing Box room feeds the project

Real deal example: no parallel upload workflow

An adviser is already maintaining a Box-based diligence room. Instead of mirroring files manually into Colabra, connect the relevant folder and let the project ingest the same source material directly.

Setup pattern

Connection happens once at the workspace level. The actual project folder is chosen later from a project’s files empty state or from Project menu → Import.

Box browsing starts from All files.

What happens after import

• the initial folder contents are imported immediately
• Colabra performs background re-syncs for connected project folders
• upstream file changes are stored as new file versions rather than duplicate project files

The exact re-sync cadence is not currently exposed in product settings, so teams should treat it as automatic background sync rather than a user-configurable schedule.

Use Box sync for evidence already posted to the room. Use requests for missing documents that still need to be produced.
