Google Gemini

Use Gemini CLI or another Gemini client that explicitly supports remote HTTP MCP and OAuth. This guide does not assume that every Gemini app has a custom MCP setup surface.

Gemini CLI setup

Add the server:

Terminal window
gemini mcp add --transport http colabra https://api.colabra.ai/mcp

Open Gemini CLI and use /mcp to inspect the connection. Complete the OAuth flow when prompted. Gemini CLI’s MCP documentation covers authentication and client configuration.

Verify the deal

Ask Gemini to confirm your workspace and project and open a known source. Then request a scoped review with citations.

The client’s advertised tools and your Colabra permissions determine access. A connector does not install Colabra plugin skills, and a locally created deliverable is not automatically a saved project output. See MCP for capability and coverage details.
