When to use Gong

Use Gong when the team wants call content to flow into the project automatically based on routing rules instead of being imported one transcript at a time.

Real deal example: automatic intake for management and diligence calls

A project has a rule for calls tagged to the deal. When those Gong calls complete, the matching transcripts are routed into project evidence so commercial and management signal shows up alongside the contracts and financials being reviewed.

Setup pattern

The workspace connects Gong once at workspace scope. Then each project configures its own webhook destination from a project’s files empty state or from Project menu → Import.

Behaviour

• the import is rule-scoped webhook import
• only Gong calls matching the configured rule and sent to the project routing URL are imported
• imported transcript files use Colabra’s normal evidence pipeline and preview surfaces

Choose Gong when continuous routing is the point. If the team only wants to pull a transcript in occasionally, Fireflies’ manual model may be simpler.
