Slack
See Overview for where chat notifications fit relative to sync and API integrations.
When to use Slack
Use Slack when the internal deal team already coordinates in Slack and wants project activity to show up there without moving the actual diligence work out of Colabra.
The deal channel gets the signal, not the whole workflow
Real deal example: keep awareness high, keep judgement in the project
A private deal channel wants to know when new files arrive, findings change, or requests are answered. Slack is a good place for that awareness. The actual review, comments, and resolution still happen inside the Colabra project.
Setup pattern
Connection happens once at the workspace level. After that, each project can choose its own Slack destination.
What happens after connection
- the workspace stores the Slack connection once
- each project can bind its own destination channel
- notifications are delivered into that selected project channel
Slack is best for internal awareness. Use external requests when the other side needs to respond inside a formal diligence thread.
